Many parents find the cost of hiring a doula to attend the birth prohibitive. So we came up with a way to make having a doula affordable.

Our many years of experience have taught us that parents looking for a doula have these priorities:

• Thorough personalised birth preparation from an expert

• An encouraging voice during the weeks leading up to birth

• Someone to talk things over with DURING the labour - at whatever time of night or day

• Support with feeding and babycare AFTER birth

Ideally, all parents-to-be should be supported like this. However with doulas in London now charging upwards of £1800 per client, it’s not easy for everyone!

The Doula In Your Pocket package provides all these key aspects of a classic doula service - at a fraction of the price. Our priority is to empower you with all the tools - mental, physical and emotional - you need to have the birth experience you want.

The Doula in Your Pocket is a comprehensive one to one birth preparation programme tailored to your needs. For example, you may choose to prioritise:

• breathing, relaxation, movement

• basic hypnobirthing techniques

• biodynamics of birth

• a coaching session for your partner

• a walk-through of caesarean birth

• preparing for a second or subsequent birth

• starting breastfeeding

• considering a home birth

These sessions may be by video call/Zoom, or in person at your home if you are in the London area.

Add postnatal visit (face to face in London area only). These invaluable visits are the key to a positive start to life with your baby! During these visits we’ll support you in building your confidence with expert feeding support, helping you to understand your baby’s sleeping, practical help with bathing and generally caring for your baby - and if necessary we might be just holding your baby while you get a well-earned rest.

Sessions are normally 2+ hours.
