I have been living in West London all my adult life. I worked in the maternity department on the postnatal ward of my local hospital offering breastfeeding support for seven years after qualifying as a breastfeeding counsellor in 2004. More recently I have been running postnatal drop-in sessions for breastfeeding mothers and their babies in Acton High Street.
Throughout this time I have been an NCT breastfeeding counsellor teaching antenatal classes and providing feeding support. Over all these years I have supported thousands of breastfeeding families with their breastfeeding journeys offering specialist support and encouragement for what can sometimes seem the most challenging aspect of becoming a parent.
I am passionate about breastfeeding and the benefits it brings to newborn babies, their mothers, and the wider family. If I had a pound for every time a family I have supported has asked me to come and live with them I wouldn’t need to be offering my services here. I would be so happy to help, encourage and support you as you familiarise yourself with this very special way of looking after your baby.
At home in Acton I live with my husband and his 90 year old mum. Our two young adult children maintain itinerant lifestyles and often visit. I love walking, especially on beaches. Other interests are needlepoint and enjoying creation in my garden, under the sea or out in the wild, wide world.
